Committed to the Environment, Technical Education and Inclusion in Chile

In 2024, the Prosegur Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability, technical education and digital inclusion in Chile. With the support of 294 employee volunteers, the Foundation's initiatives have benefited more than 2,746 people in various locations in the country, generating a positive impact on local communities.

A year of positive impact

At Fundación Prosegur, a for-profit entity of the Prosegur Group, we have worked tirelessly to promote environmental sustainability, strengthen technical education and reduce the digital divide. Throughout the year, our projects have enriched community life and offered new opportunities for future generations in Chile.

Environmental and Technological Initiatives

Among the main environmental initiatives of the year, we highlight the collaboration with the Mapocho Vivo Foundation in a day of reforestation in the Mapocho River. Prosegur volunteers and their families planted native trees, contributing to strengthening the local ecosystem and mitigating climate change. Furthermore, in Talca, a team of 50 solidarity professionals and members of the Santa Marta School cleaned the school garden, removing more than 12 tonnes of waste and revitalising the space as an ecological learning tool.

In the technological field, together with Prosegur Alarms, we have donated more than 3,600 disused alarm devices to the Liceo Bicentenario Benjamín Dávila Larraín de Renca. This equipment will allow students to acquire practical skills that are fundamental for their future, bringing them closer to real scenarios and preparing them for the labour market. We also held talks at the Andes Polytechnic School in Renca, where Prosegur employees shared their experiences in the technology industry.

Commitment to Digital Inclusion

As part of our commitment to digital inclusion, we delivered unused computer equipment to the Kyklos inclusive repair centre. This centre, which employs people with intellectual disabilities, refurbished the devices for the Renca Educational Centre, providing young people with access to essential technological tools for their academic and social development.

Innovation as a fundamental pillar

Innovation is a fundamental pillar of our company and Foundation. In 2024, we have carried out various training initiatives that reinforce our relationship with the business and its vision of leadership in security technology. In alliance with Más Mujeres en las TIC of DUOC UC, we held a robotics workshop for students from the San Juan de Pirque School, fostering their interest in technology and innovation. On the other hand, we implemented programming and artificial intelligence platforms in the schools of the Piecitos Colorados programme, facilitating the learning of programming and the training of teachers in the use of generative AI for pedagogical purposes.

‘The implementation of programming platforms provided students with first class tools that will empower their future. This is a clear example of Prosegur's commitment to education, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals’. Mauricio José Gonçalves, Director of Prosegur Cash in Chile
