21st Century Competencies

Opportunities that transform lives

With the driving force of education and the objective of employability, we contribute to the professional development of young people in vulnerable situations, providing them with training and facilitating their access to employment in the security sector.

Technovation Girls

Girls to change the world. To discover their full potential and the social purpose of technology. With this spirit Technovation Girls was born: a global competition that seeks to awaken STEM vocations in girls, thus changing statistics and expanding the options for their professional future.

Since 2022, we have been promoting this initiative in which the daughters of Prosegur Spain employees participate in teams, with the support of volunteer mentors from the Company to accompany the girls on their entrepreneurial journey. Participants between the ages of 8 and 18 detect and solve problems in their environment (related to the SDGs) through technology. Dreaming big, but offering viable and tangible solutions.

In addition, our professionals also join in as judges to assess the proposals created or to give workshops on public speaking to the participants, in order to prepare their pitch.

I learn to program

Through a playful approach and with tutorials in Spanish, our online platform Aprendo a Programar allows young people to approach the language of programming, developing key skills such as critical thinking and problem solving.

In 2022, we began disseminating the tool to Piecitos Colorados schools and others within its radius of action, in order to bring the language of the future closer to vulnerable environments and aim for a more systemic impact. In 2023, we improved the platform by opening a “Teacher Center” that allows teachers to prepare classes in advance, follow up and visualize doubts.

In addition, the children of employees in Spain have benefited from this initiative by learning the basics of this in-demand language.

Crack the Code

Through an online course and with the support of the educational platforms Microsoft MakeCode Arcade and Minecraft Education Edition, the children of our employees are introduced to the world of programming, guided by our partner Crack the Code.

With live, expert-led classes and a focus on developing computational thinking, students learn to write code and create their own video games, enjoying a rich intercultural experience alongside peers from 10 different countries (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay, and Peru).

Throughout the programme, students built challenging virtual worlds, explored 3D modelling and Artificial Intelligence concepts, and developed key skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication.
