Bridging the digital Divide
Born out of the pandemic and driven by the solidarity of a Prosegur employee, our initiative to give unused company computers a second life continues to grow in both Spain and Latin America, with a strong focus on education.

It’s the volunteers from Prosegur’s IT department who identify and refurbish the devices, enabling us to donate them to people who need them for education or employment opportunities.
All of this is done through a transparent and traceable donation process.
This is a circular initiative focused on narrowing the technology access gap affecting large segments of the population, while promoting more efficient and sustainable resource management.
Since its launch, over 1,875 computers have been donated. These have reached vulnerable students from Piecitos Colorados schools and other institutions in their network; educational centers in Uruguay through collaboration with the National Administration of Public Education; users of Social Integration Centers; organizations dedicated to training individuals with intellectual disabilities; and partner foundations working in the fields of education and development cooperation.
Letting go to move forward
We continue building alliances to showcase Prosegur’s social commitment in new communities and regions.
A standout example is Peru, where we’ve made donations to the Beneficencia de Lima (one of the capital’s largest social institutions) as well as Uayki, an organization focused on connecting the most remote communities in the country.
Because nothing stops our Prosegur volunteers in their mission to bridge the gap between the present and the digital future.
This commitment was also clear in Colombia, where they transported computers to Río de Oro school, despite the challenging access. Our team carried the devices by hand and walked the distance to reach the school.
A remarkable effort, undoubtedly worth it, because the ultimate goal is to create development opportunities for children who wouldn’t have them otherwise.
